Portsmouth is a small city and most places are fairly walkable from our apartments, so you can probably leave the car during your stay.
Buses
are frequent and convenient - First Buses and Stagecoach operate around the city.

It's easy to get around Portsmouth without a car as its such a compact and flat city, we now have Beryl Bike and Voi scooter hire across the city.

Further afield
Trains are within easy walking distance for day trips out to Winchester, Chichester, Brighton and London
The fastest trains to London are to Waterloo. All Trains stop at Portsmouth & Southsea and Fratton.

The isle of wight makes a lovely day trip or a longer stay. It can be reached on foot either via The 10 minute hovercraft flight from Southsea Beach or 22 minutes on the fast cat from Portsmouth Harbour, both to Ryde. Buses provide an excellent service on arrival
If you are taking the car over then the car ferry from Gunwharf Quays will take around 45 mins to Fishbourne.
